So, I was flipping through the Character Book in Tales of the Abyss, looking at the costume options, when I happened to stop on Sync's final outfit.

So, my birthday is next month. Oh, and that whole Christmas thing, I guess. In celebration, I want to do the reverse-gifting drabble thing, which means that I need some prompts.

Here is what I would like to try. You give me:

1) character or characters

2) a word, concept, kink, symbol, whatever-- something one or two words at most that can be the central theme of the piece

3) a song lyric, bit of a poem, snippet of dialogue-- something evocative to help develop the mood

And I will go from there.

Please do suggest more than one idea. If I'm going to write the appropriate number of ficlets (one for each of *mumble* years), I'll need a variety of ideas to choose from-- I do not promise to write all of the prompts suggested, I'm hoping to pick the ones that ping me hardest.

Any fandom that I am familiar with is fair game. Including anything I have ever written for before, and anything I have seen but not written for. Just because Tales of the Abyss is still my current darling, it doesn't mean I'm monogamous.

Finally, finally I've managed to hunt down .avi files for the rest of Gurren Lagann. My computer is happy again, and so am I, because it means I actually get to watch the rest of the series. XD I'm up to episode 23 at the moment.

Weekly write-in with the local WriMos this afternoon. Desperately needed, as I have been rather slacktacular this week as far as novel goes. What is this 'motivation' you speak of?

To those who have made animated icons-- and I'm talking just the slideshow variety, here, where the image changes every few seconds or whatever-- what program did you use to make them?

Because it's Friday, I see no problem whatsoever in staying up until midnight and taking a flying leap off that starting line. I haven't really been able to justify it the last few years, what with work starting far too early the next morning. But this time. Oh, this time. I am hyped up on Tootsie Pops, OH YES, and it shall be glorious. I shall take the metaphorical novel castle by storm, and the bricks of prose shall topple before me.

... or, far more likely, I'll nod off at my computer desk around 12:06.

I really never thought I'd say this... but I would quite like to see a dub of the TotA anime. I mean, I just got so used to hearing particular voices for these characters, and for the most part I really liked those voices. It's odd not to hear them the way I expect.

However. The novelty of having an anime version of this game is, at the moment, entirely too much fun. XD

To the Tales of the Abyss veterans out there: did any of you ever figure out how to get Din's shop to work? I'm reading the walkthrough on that bit, but still a bit fuzzy on the details.

Started reading the Watchmen graphic novel yesterday. Finished it this evening. Then went and watched the movie trailer about four times.

This could be freaking cool. XD
